Making Exposome Science Accessible and Relevant

Our developing knowledge platform brings together concepts, evidence and methods to support a clearer understanding of how exposures across the life course influence health and prevention in Viet Nam.

OUR PURPOSE

Exposome science draws on environmental health, epidemiology, occupational health, behavioural science, social science, biology and data science.

Evidence & Insights is being developed to make this multidisciplinary field more accessible, connect international knowledge with the Vietnamese context and support informed discussion about research, prevention and population health.

Resources will be developed progressively as credible evidence, expertise and collaborative opportunities become available.

Combined and Cumulative Exposures

How multiple exposures coexist, interact and accumulate rather than affecting health independently.

Critical Windows of Exposure

Why exposures during pregnancy, childhood, working life and ageing may have different or lasting consequences.

Vulnerability and Health Inequalities

How exposure patterns, susceptibility and health effects may differ according to occupation, location, living conditions and social circumstances.

Biological Response and Resilience

How external exposures interact with biological processes and influence individual and population-level responses.

Precision Prevention

How better exposure knowledge may support more targeted, timely and locally relevant approaches to prevention.

Content published by Vietnam Exposome Initiative will aim to:

  • Use credible and traceable scientific sources.

  • Distinguish established evidence from emerging research and hypotheses.

  • Explain important limitations, uncertainties and differences in study context.

  • Avoid overstating associations, causality or potential health implications.

  • Consider the relevance and transferability of international findings to Viet Nam.

  • Disclose relevant authorship, partnerships, funding and potential conflicts of interest.

  • Review and update resources as evidence and methods develop.

Content is provided for education, research development and professional dialogue. It does not replace medical advice, regulatory guidance or formal environmental, occupational or public health risk assessment.
